Ghost Whisperer is back on Friday September 25th!
Ive been following GW news only a little during the summer since ive been so busy! But there was rumours going around, which i dont think they are rumours anymore but confirmed, that GW would start off with a... what can i call it... twist? I dont want to talk about the spoiler in case it actually spoils anyone but if you are that intrigue, im sure you can find it online! :)

Jamie Kennedy

James Harvey Kennedy was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, on May 25, 1970. He became interested in acting at the age of 15, and appeared in a movie for the first time at age 19, as an extra in Dead Poets Society (1989). His first role in a movie was as Brad in the film Road to Flin Flon (2000), which was filmed in the early 1990s but was not released until spring 2000. He is most popular for playing the role of the movie buff, geeky Randy Meeks, in Scream (1996/I), Scream 2 (1997), and Scream 3 (2000). In 1998, he won a Blockbuster Award for Best Supporting Actor in a horror movie for his role as Randy Meeks in Scream 2 (1997).

After doing the Scream series, it seems like Jamie took a different turn and headed into Comedy. Some of his wackier roles included:

What in the world is going on?!

Ok, so im still a true hardcore fan of GW but i have no clue what is going on! Why decide to kill Jim in the first place, if you intend on bringing him back in the story, in someone else's body and make the story so complicated?

Where they running out of plot story or something? Im sure they could have done something way better than this! I mean, not only does Mel suffer every episode while dealing with this Jim issue, she'll probably suffer even more when she as to tell him about her gift! Ok yes maybe that will spark something and help Jim's memory come back but argghh why bother?! Why would she have to go through this? Its like dealing with crazy Deliah all over again. Yes, she did come around but it took a very long time. And what Jim and Mel had before all this happen, is not comparable and it will probably never be the same!

I just simply dont get it! I feel like they changed their mind half way. 'oh you know what, we should kill Jim! It would make the story interesting.' A few weeks later and after receiving milions of hate mail 'ok maybe it wasnt a good idea after all, how can we find a way to reintergrate him?'

This whole crazy story is so distracting that its taking away the essence of the ghost stories. Honestly, i cant remember when is the last time i saw a good episode of GW. Actually, i take that back. Last time i saw a good GW episode was the episode Jim died!

Now, i dont want to be harsh or 'hatin' but i would really like to know what is going on! I love this show to death as well as JLH and i dont want to see it crash n' burn which is where i think it is heading! :( I would say im hoping for a miracle but in this case, its really not possible. Are they just gonna slowly phase this Sam guy back into Mel's life and then they live happily ever after like nothing of this happen? If so, then why in the world would they have bothered to kill him in the first place?

So basically, this cant end well! :( But i really hope it does, which means i have no clue what to expect and that scares me... alot!

Saddest Day EVER!

Please be aware of a major spoiler in this post, just in case you havent seen the Imaginary Friends and Enemies episode yet!

I don't even know where to begin. I watch a lot of tv nowadays, more reality tv but once in a while, i get hooked on sitcomes or really good tv shows like Ghost Whisperer. Reality tv, such as Biggest Loser for example, often gets me emotional since they go through a whirlwind of emotion throughout the season. To see me cry on a regular tv show, means that the creators, and the fantastic team beyond, has done an amazing job. This was basically my case with Friday's episode of Ghost Whisperer, Imaginary Friends and Enemies.

I had the misfortune of reading a spoiler before watching the episode but i couldn't come to terms with it and as i was watching the episode, i kept trying to make up a reason as to why such thing could happen and how and who and... and... trying to make myself believe that he wasn't really gone.

When Jim woke Mel up and told her to look at him and remember him that way, i felt my heart shatter in millions of pieces. To me Jim was everything to Melinda; her #1 support, best friend, soul mate. I still can't believe fact that they would take Jim away from her. It is truely devasting.

My fiance and I have come to absolutely love this show. We are rarely home on friday nights to watch the show but we always tape it and as soon as we have time to spare, Ghost Whisperer is always the first show we will watch, even if we are late with shows dated from the beginning of the week.
Last night, we were laying in bed discussing the episode, yet again, and him too, couldn't believe that Jim was dead. He said, 'its weird! Its like he was part of our life, like we just lost someone close to us and we are having a hard time coping with it. Its stupid right? Its just a TV show.' I laid there thinking, 'i thought i was the only one feeling this way...'

To me, Jim and Melinda were the best TV couple ever. He was always there by her side, calming her down when she was stress, at her side when she had bad dreams and more importantly, he accepted her with her gift.

I dont know how this will affect the ratings for the next episodes to come but as a true fan, i will keep watching no matter what. Some people say he will be there, on the other side, helping cross over spirits. My biggest disapointment is that they will never be able to have a familly together. It will definitly take me a while to accept to 'not see' Jim anymore and i'm sure ill be crying in the next episode...

We will miss you Jim!

Missing in Action & Season 4

Ok so just so you know, i'm still alive! lol I have been ultra busy in the past few months and i often wish there was more than 24 hours in a day! Ive started reading books again now that I am out of school but that takes alot of my time since i'm not a fast reader. I have also decided to create a personal blog to be able to talk about the loves in my life. Ok now back to Ghost Whisperer! I still watch the episodes like its a religion and i'm happy to say that so far season 4 is AMAZING! Last weeks episode (Save our Soul) ended with Melinda thinking she was pregnant (finally!) YAY! I'm super happy for them even though they looked truely scared about it! lol

And lets not forget episode 3 (Ghost in the Machine)! That was definitly the coolest episode ever! Basically Melinda comes in contact with a ghost that haunts an avatar in a online video game. In some scenes, she is sucked in the laptop and becomes her own avatar. Her outfits, hair dues and makeup are a MUST see!!! She even gets to kick a few butts in some scenes! Sadly I cant seem to find alot of images but here is one. Doesn't she look like a superhero?

I just want to take a few seconds also to talk about the new character, Eli James played by Jamie Kennedy, that was introduced in season 4 to basically replace Jay Mohr's character, Rick Payne. I am having a hard time getting use to him because whenever i see Kennedy act, i always remember him as Randy in Scream. I thought he was perfect for the role of Randy. This obsess with movie, teenager, working in a video store, who knew the answer to every horror question... So to me, he just doesnt fit right helping Mel. He is so lost and confused. Mind you, he is as crazy as Jay's character but at least Rick Payne knew what he was talking about and he was a valuable asset to Mel. What do you all think of this new character?

For sadder news, a fire broke out on the Universal Studios backlot on June 1st. The backlot was originally used for the trilogy Back to the Future and then was recently revamp for the Ghost Whisperer set. Read some more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Studios_Hollywood

Camryn grew up in Peoria, Illinois. Her mother, Sylvia, was a schoolteacher and her father, Jerry, was a math professor. She developed an interest in acting after working at a Renaissance Fair at age 16. She earned a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from New York University in 1987. She studied acting at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in Chelsea, which was founded by David Mamet and William H. Macy and teaches the technique "Practical Aesthetics," which Ms. Manheim uses. She is currently a member of the company at the Atlantic Theater, and she sometimes performs in shows during their season.

Lack of posts

I would like to apologize for the lack of post I have been doing. A lot have change in the past few months. I graduated, become permanent at my job, bought a house (moved in) and got myself a web and graphic design contract for a company opening in less than a month!

Aisha graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Political Science and also minored in environmental policy. She then moved to Los Angeles from native San Francisco in 1996. Her parents divorced when she was 10, and she was raised, in a strict veggie home, by her father, Jim.
Aisha is also a stand-up comedienne. She was named #72 on the Maxim magazine "Hot 100 of 2005" list and was featured as #61 in Maxim Magazine's "Hot 100 of 2002" supplement. (2002)

Season 2 and season 3

A couple of weeks ago, I read somewhere that season 3 was announced but unfortunately I can’t seem to find any website that will confirmed this. CBS still hasn’t announced it either but reruns are playing every Friday so it’s looking positive!

On a happy note, Ghost Whisperer Season 2 is coming out on DVD September 18 2007!!! By the time I finished watching season 1 on DVD, season 2 had already started playing on TV. I can’t wait to catch up! :)

Eerie photos - Ghost Orbs

This next post is not about Ghost Whisperer but closely related. Ghost photography always fascinated me although I don’t know much about it. I tried doing some research online but with so many different website about ghost orbs and photography it’s hard to tell which are telling the truth or just having fun!

I have taken some pictures and would like to know what you think about them. The first two I took at a friends’ party. It was a hot muggy night and the pictures were taken facing a lake (there was neighbours in front). The last one was taken on a completely different night; it was way cooler outside. This picture is actually at a gate of a cemetery (that was creepy!!!).

Since I have started this blog, I have been calling these anecdotes ‘Fun Fact’.
In this episode, Melinda explains to Andrea that the 3 boys have build up some much energy over the years – they can get powerful and break things or make things explode, which happens a few time in this episode. Andrea responds: ‘Another fun fact from Melinda’.
I just though it was fun that I was calling them that as well!

Melinda also states in this episode that her grandma told her that once a child spirit gets attached to a place, it’s much harder to make them crossover.

Episode 5 – Lost Boys

This is one of my favourite episodes. They made this episode look like a fairy tale of the 20th century with a Ghost Whisperer twist of course.
Andrea and Melinda are contracted to auction furniture from a community inn before it is torn down. While cleaning the basement Melinda finds the lost spirits of three boys (Rat, Marty and Vic) and their dog (Homer) that perished in an orphanage fire 50 years ago. Melinda tries to help the boys pass on before the inn is destroyed and they are forever locked as earth-bound spirits.

One night when Melinda stays over to keep the boys company, they ask Melinda to read Peter Pan. In this scene, Ernie is mentioned. He also perished in the fire but his body was never found and his spirit is not there with them.

Melinda later finds out why the boys are still living in the inn. Rat, the older one, feels responsible for their deaths. He didn’t know how to keep them safe so now he doesn’t want anyone to leave the inn (as a family, if they are together they will be safe).

Melinda later discovers that, the owner who wants to destroy the inn is Ernie. When the fire broke out Ernie escaped and survived. The next day, the papers said he perished in the fire. Ernie wants the inn to be destroyed; he doesn’t want the inn, his past, to exist anymore. He feels guilty that he lived and not the others. Melinda later reunites Ernie with the boys and this triggers the boys to move on.

Meantime at the house, Jim receives a visit from an old friend, Lew Peterson. Jim thinks he could be a big help around the house for a few days. This pushes Melinda to spend more time at the inn and doing research on the boys, to be as far away as possible from Lew. She thinks he is rude, crude and immature – he is still living the party life. After a few days and ‘accidents’ around the house, Jim decides he as had enough; he sends Lew packing.

Fun Fact – Transplant Patients

In this episode Cliff Aimes receives Conor Donovan’s heart and starts smelling and craving things he usually doesn’t eat/smell.

Do transplant patients actually start smelling/craving things they never had before or don’t even know what they are?

It’s an interesting fact that would definitely need more research!

Episode 4 – Mended Hearts

This episode makes you think about life and how you are treating yourself. It is also a key episode for two reasons that I will talk about later in this post.

After Jim saves Gwen Alexander’s life, a woman who attempts suicide in order to be with her deceased fiancé, Conor Donovan, Melinda tries to help the fiancé cross over by finding the person who received his donated heart.

Conor was a healthy athlete who died during a triathlon. He crashed his bicycle after swerving off the road so he wouldn’t hit the kid that was playing there (the kid was obviously at the wrong place at the wrong time). It’s been a year and Gwen still hasn’t accepted that he his gone. Conor doesn’t want to leave because he sees Gwen’s life degrading every day – so he haunts her (like that makes things easier!!??)

After the suicide attempt, Melinda is determined to help Gwen grieve with her lost and help Conor move on. Before Conor moves on he asks Melinda to find out who got his heart. When Melinda finds the receiver, she is puzzled to found someone so depressed. Cliff Aimes has had a bad heart all his life, now that he has a good one, he wonders if he even deserves it.

Melinda sets up Gwen and Cliff on a date to find out if they have anything in common and they do. She wants Gwen to be happy so that she and Conor will both move on. By the end of the episode, Conor realises that Gwen cannot waste her love on a dead man. He decides to let her go.

This is a key episode for two reasons:

Melinda doesn’t like to visit hospitals and for a good reason. There are many spirits and most are lost or looking for answers. During this visit, Melinda wants to find out who got Conor’s heart. Unfortunately, since she is not a family member so she cannot receive any information. Suddenly the lights go off and a ghost nurse appears. She helps Melinda find the information she needs. Melinda offers her help and she responds by saying ‘rain check’. This nurse will be important in an episode later in the season.

At the end of the episode, Melinda walks in the park and sees a man staring at her. He stands up and starts laughing (Its one of those evil laughs that gives you chills). Then he disappears. Melinda is confused and uncertain of what will happen in the future. This is the first time we see the laughing man but definitely not the last time!!!

First, I would like to apologize for the lack of posts in the last few weeks. I am rapidly approaching graduation and with 4 days left of school; end of semesters can be rough!

Daniel, a freelance editor, contacted me and suggested this has a post for my readers. He was hired to put together a campaign ad for Melinda Gordon. Now he wants you guys to vote for Melinda Gordon---that is, for Jennifer Love Hewitt on Ghost Whisperer---in the Miss Entertainment online pageant.

David Conrad

David attended a private boarding school near Pittsburgh called The Kiski School. He graduated from Juilliard in 1995. He is also a graduate of Brown University. Though his wish was never granted, he petitioned the producers of Buffy the Vampire Slayer several times, hoping to appear as Buffy's nemesis on the show. He loves doing theatre and turned down film auditions for Deep Impact and Boogie Nights to pursue stage opportunities instead.

He appeared in a few small budget films and TV movies until his career started to blossomed. You can see him along side big actors/actresses in the following movies and TV series:

Melinda's Flashbacks

In these flashbacks, we see Melinda and her grandma before she dies.
The first time, we see Melinda pushing her grandmother in a wheelchair in an old folks’ home. Melinda doesn’t want her to be in there but she likes it, she doesn’t have to do anything. In this scene we get a sense that the grandmother knows that the end is coming soon for her but she isn’t scared, she is ready, excited. In this scene, Melinda also makes a promise to her grandma: she promises to be strong and not wallow once she is gone.

In the second flashback, Melinda visits her grandma again. We get a sense that she isn’t doing well. When her grandma comes along, Melinda is worried that she will never be able to tell the difference between a ghost and a human. Her grandma explains that when she is around a ghost she will feel unexplained mix emotions coming from the spirit. She tells her that she is feeling this right now, she then realises that her grandma has passed away, she runs to her bed side and cries out to the nurse.

In the third and final flashback, we see Melinda in her room crying. She doesn’t want to get out of bed or eat anymore. Her grandma appears and tells her she is breaking her promise, she is wallowing! Melinda is confused; she doubts her powers and doesn’t know if she wants them anymore. Her grandma tells her that she has a chance to help so many people and to not let it go to waste.

These flashbacks are important since we find out a bit more about Melinda’s grandma and how she dies. It was very hard for Melinda but as we know now, she is doing very well. I think these flashbacks are important since they demonstrate how close Melinda was with her grandma.

Jessica Collins

The actresses who play the roles of Zoë and Natalie are actually the same actress. Not only does this show do miracles when it comes to creating ghostly sets and ghostly moods, they do an excellent job having the same person, in the same frame/scene, impersonating two different characters. Jessica Collins takes on both of the roles of Zoë and Natalie Harper in Ghost, Interrupted.

Episode 3 - Ghost, Interrupted

This episode demonstrates the strong bond that can exist between twin sisters. One summer night, Zoë drowns while attempting to swim out to the buoys at their family’s cabin. Natalie and Zoë tried every summer to reach them but failed every time. That night, Zoë was drunk and had just slept with Thomas, Natalie’s boyfriend. She felt sorry for herself, she felt guilty. It was bad luck to do it without her sister by her side.
Throughout the episode, Zoë haunts Natalie by sending her negative vibes. Their bond is so strong as sisters that even after Zoë is gone, Natalie can still feel her by her side, she can feel her moods.
There is so much anger in this episode; Zoë doesn’t want Natalie to be mad at her. After their mother locks Natalie in a psychiatric clinic, Zoë vows to never leave Natalie alone, insisting she is the only thing that is keeping her sane in there. Ironically, Zoë haunting Natalie is what causes their mother to lock her up, thinking she is crazy.
The two girls come upon the antique shop one day; Melinda is fascinated by the twins. She soon regrets getting involved, fearing she can only do so much for Natalie. The key to this episode is the girl’s father. Zoë reaches out to him and soon contacts Melinda. When Natalie finds out about her cheating boyfriend, payback is long over due. She manages to break out of the clinic, steal’s Tom’s car and drives to the lake. She swims out and reaches the buoys, tapping them three times and screaming out: "I did it for the both of us Zoë”. The girls are reunited for a last time, with the help of Melinda, just long enough to say goodbye.

While the twin story is evolving, Jim and Melinda setup Andrea with Jim’s friend, Will the fireman. Turns out, he has only been divorced for 3 months and is still not over his ex wife. Andrea tells him to give her a call when he is ready to move on, even though they had so much in common, he was obviously not ready for a new relationship.

Also, in this episode, Melinda’s grandmother would have celebrated her 80th birthday. Throughout the show, we see flashbacks of Melinda and her grandmother together. These are important events for Melinda that explains a bit more about her gift and her relationship she had with her grandma. Keep an eye out for Melinda’s Flashbacks for more information later on.

Jennifer Love Hewitt
She made her official performing debut at age 3 where she sang at a livestock show. At age 5, she was taking tap, jazz, and ballet lessons which led her to joining the Texas Show Team, which toured the Soviet Union and Europe. At age 10, the family moved to L.A. with the encouragement of talent scouts. Jennifer quickly found commercial work and a role on Disney's "Kids Incorporated" in 1984. She went through a series of television flops before finally hitting it big on "Party of Five (1994)" from 1995 to 1999.

Her career blossomed quickly and she was cast in hit movies such as:

Here is an interesting fact for you movie lovers:

The town square in Ghost Whisperer is actually on the back lot of Universal Studios and there is a reason that it looks familiar. It is the same one used in the movie, Back to the Future (1985).

Joseph Castanon

Some of you might find Kenny’s little face familiar. If you do, it might be because you have seen the movie Click (2006)! Joseph Castanon plays the role of little Ben Newman, age 7, alongside Adam Sandler and Kate Beckinsale.

He has already made quite a few appearances in many difference television shows; Ghost Whisperer being second on the list. Look for him soon in the mini series Comanche Moon (2007) alongside Val Kilmer, Linda Cardellini and Steve Zahn.

I am sure we will be seeing much more of this talented little fellow, in the next few years!

Ghosts or spirits are also called earthbound spirits. They usually have unfinished business or have messages for the living and they can’t cross over before they have completed their business.

Kids can almost always see spirits.

Guest starring Christine Baranski as Faith Clancy

This is one of the saddest episodes – yes I cried! Melinda must reunite a child's spirit with his family before another tragedy occurs, all while coping with her Mother-in-Law's visit.

Melinda first meets Kenny when he is playing on the train tracks with his friend Dylan. We soon find out that Kenny isn’t a normal kid – the train passes through him and a second later is standing next to Dylan again. He explains to Melinda that he is waiting for his mom because he is lost. Melinda later finds out that there was a tragic accident last October involving a train crashing in a SUV on the tracks – a 6 years old kid perished.

Melinda soon figures out that Kenny doesn’t understand that he his dead; he think he is just lost. She soon finds Kenny’s parents, who just lost a case in court against the previous owner of the SUV. He sold them the truck saying it was in perfect condition, even though it staled 3 time, last time being on the tracks. The Dale family obviously doesn’t believe Melinda and warns her to stay away with her nonsense. When Kenny pays a visit to his parents, action must be taken before it’s too late. Hank, Kenny’s father, is paying a visit to the previous owner of the truck, holding a gun.

While all of this is happening, Jim’s mother is visiting them.Faith starts thinking that Melinda is pregnant due to her weird behaviour. Melinda doesn’t want to scare Faith so she soon explains how she has a gift, without stating the obvious, of helping others grieve with a lost of a loved one. Understanding, because she has lost her husband and Dan, Faith comforts Melinda by explaining how hard it can be but that life must go on.

The story ends with an emotional goodbye, making this episode a must see, more than once.

Along the season, we find out many different facts about the spirit world.

When there is a big change in someone’s life, new baby born for example, it sends a ripple affect to the spirit world, which then wakes up the spirit, who hasn’t crossed over, of someone close. - Melinda to Andrea

When people died, if their spirits don’t cross over, they are lost and confused. They are scary looking at first but as they start to understand where they are, they become familiar to the surroundings and blend in. They then look like you and me. – Melinda to Andrea

Melinda’s Nightmares

Who told you I could help you

In this episode, we can see Melinda waking up to the sound of someone knocking on a door. The camera angle is quite interesting; her room is upside down, she is walking on the ceiling. As she leaves her room, she looks at her hands to find out she is a little girl again. She runs to the sound of the knocking, opens a door and is left facing the lost soldier. She then screams out: “Who told you I could help you?” - Someone knows about her gift but she doesn’t know who this someone is.

Notice also, when we are in Melinda’s nightmare or dreams, how elegant she looks! I absolutely love all her outfits!

Introduction - Episode 1: Pilot

This initial post will be information heavy and I am sorry but, the first episode is crucial because there are so many things to learn for you to fall in love with the show!

Episode 1 - Pilot
Guest Staring: Wentworth Miller as Sergeant Paul Adams

We first meet Melinda as a child, at a funeral with her grandmother. This is the first time she realises she can see spirits, although she can’t understand why or what’s happening. Melinda then gives a message to the widow, from her decease husband. Scared, she looks at her grandmother, who reassures her she will understand very soon.

Melinda and Jim’s wedding day. Here, we understand that Jim knows about her gift. We meet Jim’s brother, Dan. He tells Melinda a story about a summer when he fell off a roof and Jim was there to comfort him. He leaves a message to Melinda for her to give to Jim when he really needs it. We later find out in this episode that Dan died when he fell off that roof. He watches over Jim – he wanted him to know he was at his wedding.

We meet Andrea for the first time in their antique shop; Melinda is her boss. We then find out that Andrea also knows about Melinda’s gift – she is fascinated about it, although really sceptical!

She meets the Sergeant Paul Adams for the first time when he appears in her house – spirits never appear in her house, this is the first time. After having a talk with the lost ghost, she finds out that he served in the Vietnam War in June 1972. She searches records to find an Adams family leaving in Grandview. Paul’s son, Michael, who lives with his 9 month, pregnant wife. Melinda finds out that the sergeant’s body is somewhere in a place called Lo Valley. She talks about her discoveries with Michael, who doesn’t believe her – he thinks she is a scam. When leaving, she gives him the compass she found it in her antique shop – it belongs to his father. In the end, Michael comes around. Paul explains to Michael he was lost but found his way home with the compass. He will now watch over him. Few weeks pass, his body is found and the sergeant receives a proper burial as he realises he is ready to cross over, his wife is waiting for him.

Melinda finds herself helping a lot of spirits along the season, besides the usual big mysteries. It can sometimes be just a small message for a love one. She is also tormented by nightmares, many of which we become part of when we are pulled in one of them. I will be adding posts about these along the way, keep an eye out for Melinda’s Nightmares.
